Welcome to Merrijig Lodge
Merrijig Lodge, set on 10 acres of farmland on the banks of the Delatite River, operates all year round.
In summer, with the regions magnificent weather, the Lodge is a favourite for family groups and other groups wanting to sit around the pool, spa or, in winter, the fire for a get-together or enjoy some of the many and varied activities the area has to offer.
In winter, being only 15kms from the base of Mt Buller and Mt Stirling the Lodge is a great base for a skiing holiday.
The main building, known as Merrijig Lodge, has 12 rooms containing 4 single bed bunks and 2 ensuite rooms containing 2 double bed bunks, giving us total capacity of 52 people. In addition to a fully equipped commercial kitchen, the downstairs area contains a large lounge/dinning room as well as a separate TV room and games room. The games room offers the choice of a table tennis table or a pool table.
The Merrijig Pub is just across the road and often has a live band on Friday night and very good counter meals.
If you are travelling by car, Merrijig Lodge is an easy 220 km drive North East from Melbourne. You can travel a number of ways from Melbourne to Mansfield; via Benalla, Whittlesea, Yea or Healesville. Each trip offers a taste of the Australian countryside with rolling hills and rich, fertile soil; teeming with wildlife, dotted with quaint rural villages and alive with galleries, markets and antique shops. Wineries are another major attraction with more than 50 nestled throughout the region open for tastings, cellar door sales and scrumptious dining.
Merrijig Lodge specialises in group bookings for all kinds of clubs, organizations and mutual interest groups.
